Workshops
If you are looking to expand your skill set and idea development, consider having me teach a workshop for your group. The workshops are mainly geared for an intermediate skill level, with some exceptions (see below), in person, for a group, at your location.

I love to see how other ceramic artists do things. You learn so much from attending a workshop, whether it’s hands on or not. Many of the best tips and tricks can be gleaned from watching an artist at work. How do they handle the material, what tools do they use, and of course what are their tips and tricks? Teaching techniques of surface design is of special interest to me. I like to include slip decoration and sgraffito, drawing from reference material, mishima, image transfer, with special attention to composition and how it relates to the three-dimensional form. I also like to help participants develop forms that support their idea and work in harmony with the surface treatment.
-
Surface design techniques - mishima, sgraffito, slip trail, slip transfer, texture development
-
Mixing your own slips and underglazes (included in all workshops)
-
Throwing & altering with attention paid to developing sets & matching pieces
-
Teapot design and construction
-
My favourite tools & tips (included in all workshops)
I enjoy teaching and I’m available for 1 day demo only (all skill levels), 2-day hands on (all skill levels), 3-day hands on (intermediate or higher skill level) and for week-long(intermediate or higher skill level) programs as well, in person at your facility. Let’s chat. If you’re interested send me a message below.

TESTIMONIALS
“One of the benefits of being a potters guild member is the knowledge gleaned from our visiting artist programming. We were fortunate to have ceramic artist Andrea Vuletin as an in-person guest. Her garden inspired work is beautifully thrown and illustrated. After an introductory slide presentation that guided us through her work, history and inspirations, Andrea demonstrated her techniques on prepared pieces. Sharing insights into her preferred products and tools, we were led around the forms as she built up the surfaces. She brought examples so we could feel and see the various stages of work and the finished surfaces first hand, and many members went home with new knowledge and gorgeous pieces to add to their collection. Andrea’s presentation was as thoroughly engaging as her ceramic work.”
